Ever wonder why students fail their examinations?
Old joke, but I've been looking for it because I still think it's bloody hilarious.
Back to the topic, ever wonder why students fail their examinations? Well, the reason, obvious or not, I truly believe that we are all oblivious to it. It's merely because 1 year has 365 days.
1. Sundays. There are 52 weeks in a year, thus there are 52 Sundays in a year. And as we all know, Sundays are for resting. Bringing the remaining days to prepare for examinations to 313.
2. Summer Holidays. Consisting of 50 days, summer is a season whereby it is too hot thus making it almost impossible to study. Bringing the remaining days to 263.
3. Sleep. Just what the doctor ordered. As we all know, an average of 8 hours of sleep a day is required, totalling to 122 days in a year. Bringing the remaining days to 141.
4. Recreation. 1 hour a day is needed for playing (for good health) totaling to 15 days. Bringing the remaining days to 126.
5. Eating. For sufficient time to enjoy our daily delicacies, 2 hours a day for food is required (inclusive of chewing properly and swallowing) totaling to 30 days. Brining the remaining days to 96.
6. Interaction. 1 hour per day for communicating (humans are social animals) totaling to 15 days. Bringing the remaining days to 81.
7. Examinations itself. Per year, there are at least 35 examination days. Brining the remaining days to 46.
8. Holidays. This includes quarterly, half yearly and festival holidays. Totaling to 40 days. Bringing our balance to 6 days.
9. Medical. Medical reasons such as sickness, at least 3 days in a year. Thus causing a balance of 3 days.
10. Movies and other functions. At least 2 days per year. Finally leaving 1 day remaining.
11. That last day is our birthday. How on earth can we study on that day?
Balance = 0 days
If this is the case, then how can a student pass?
